you've become my magnificent obsession, so how's about joinin' my lovin' session?

A lot has happened/is happening.

1. My parents got a new kitten!!! And I am a little bit in love with her. This is Lizzie:

She was adopted from the PetSmart adoption program. She's 3 months old, already spayed and the sweetest little kitty I've ever met. She has already slept in my lap for hours. :]

2. My parents were calling her Lizzie Borden, so I looked her up and... Eek. She's not like Lizzie Borden! (Though I do not think Lizzie Borden did it. I think the verdict was correct.)

3. My Aunt Heidi and cousin Alex are coming to visit, from tomorrow till this weekend. I just saw my aunt in Hawaii but I have not seen Alex since 2005. He's in college now. It's disconcerting. XD

4. I watched The Pianist today and cried and cried. Then I ordered the book that it is based upon. Poor Wladyslaw Szpilman. ♥ He is the true definition of survivor. I cannot wait to read his account and see how the movie did in depicting it. That movie is amazing. I think you all must see it.

5. I went to the Holocaust Museum & Memorial all by myself last Friday. It was a truly enriching experience. I feel like I needed to go there alone and do things at my own pace. Because I did so, I think I took away a lot more than I did the last (and first) time I went.

6. Yes, I am writing a story about the Holocaust. I hope to write it and post each chapter for nice, friendly criticism, though I'm not sure anyone is interested in reading it. It's a love story. It will start being posted in itswhatido as soon as I've written the first chapter. XD

7. My top five favorite actors:
Ben Stiller
Owen Wilson
Adrien Brody
Robert Downey, Jr.
Matthew Goode

I don't think I've ever really had a top five before. :D

8. Insanejournal's server keeps going down. I swear, that site is one of the clunkiest on the internet. Livejournal is so much better. ...But I play all my games on there. XD

family funtimes, museums, kitten, historical nerdiness, the pianist, movies, men that i love, holocaust
