HAPPY DAY(S) MEME!

Day #6:
Eh, nothing happened this day..... Pfahahahaha. I saw two Conchords concerts and hung out with Bret & Jemaine afterwards. And met Kristen! ♥

Day #7:
I went to brunch with two of my FA friends and one of my friends shared her ice cream with me. ♥

Day #8:
Alan completely loved his surprise birthday present. He thanked me a bagillion times, patted my back and danced around the classroom.

I messaged those pictures of Alan to Jemaine today and thanked them again for signing the program for him. One of them (probably Jemaine) read it. :D

THE MEET-UPS.

We waited out by their tourbus for about 45 mins to an hour. Bret finally came over, followed pretty quickly by Jemaine. Bret was in the LIGHT and Jemaine was in the DARK, again. We went over to Jemaine first cos he was closer and the Bret crowd was all so close to him. I didn't want to add to that (yet). So, I went up to Jemaine, and when it was my turn, this was exchanged:

Me: Hi, Jemaine! This is a surprise present for my friend Alan. It's a program of the last play he was in. This is him. His birthday is this weekend and he really wanted to come, but he couldn't.
Jemaine: Okay. (starts signing by Alan's name & picture; examines Alan's picture) He could play me in a movie.
Me: (squees for Alan inside) Hahaha! That's what I've told him! He is a huge fan of you. He loves you. He's turning 21 and so he had to go home and fill out forms. His dad made him. Otherwise he'd be here.
Jemaine: That's a bummer on your birthday.
Me: It totally is. "Happy birthday, son. Fill out this form."
(Jemaine chuckles)
Me: Thank you! He'll be happy.
Jemaine: Sure.
Me: ...By the way, do you recognize me?
Jemaine: Yes. (narrows his eyes, smiling at me) You're Sara, right?
Me: Yeah!!! How do you remember me??
Jemaine: I've got a really good memory.
Me: You seriously do! Thank you, Jemaine! It was great seeing you again!
Jemaine: (still smiling) Great seeing you again, too.

I skipped with the half-signed program over to Bret, shouting, "He's gonna love meeeeeeeeee!!!!!" I'm sure everyone heard.

Me: (showing Bret the program) This is a birthday present for my friend Alan. He was in this play and he was very funny. He really wanted to be here, but he couldn't come. He's turning 21, so he has to change over all of his licenses.
Bret: (signing - I love what he wrote!) How old?
Me: 21.
Bret: (writes that and hands it to me)
Me: Thank you! I also have another poem for you.
Bret: Aww, wow. (takes it and smiles before carefully handing it to his "handler" guy for safe keeping) Thank you!

I sort of moved away because so many people were ready for immediate attention after me, which was fine. Then, I realized that I neeeeeeded a picture of me with him and his beardy glow. So I came back to him.

Me: Hi, again. I just wanted to say that I saw you at the DC show last year, and I also wanted to thank you for the sweet message you sent me around... December. It meant so much to me.
Bret: Oh yeah, your cat died, right?
Me: (flabbergasted) You remember that??
Bret: Yeah, I don't really go on MySpace much but I saw that.
Me: Thank you so much! I appreciated it so much.
Bret: Did you get another cat?
Me: (this so felt like a convo with an old friend by this point) No. Well, we have another cat. They were friends.
Bret: Oh. Good.
Me: Yeah... Could I get a picture with you?
Bret: Sure!
(We pose for my friend Kookie's camera)
Me: Now just one more for my dad. He's the dad with the multicameras.
Bret: Oh, yeah yeah yeah! (I think he was smiling. I couldn't tell. My head was against his chest. No regrets.)
Me: Thank you, Bret!
Bret: Thanks!

Sorry it took me so long to post this. I've been kind of buzzed, to say the least. ;D And know, in your searches of Philly concert pictures, that all of the pictures of Bret bending back and displaying his crotch at the front of the stage show the moment when he was showing me his sugalumps.

Look at how he's smiling down at me. I wish someone had been taking a picture of my reaction, but it must've been funny for him to persist like he did. He almost fell off the stage.

addiction: flight of the conchords, omg, awesomeness, love: bret mckenzie
