Job Hunt day 8659...
I had a meeting today with a guy that will be using me as a sub-contractor for drawings. He was a pretty cool guy. He puts alot of morals behind his work such as when dealing with patent drawings for attourneys and such. We bullshitted for an hour or so about various projects and methods of construction. The whole point of this meeting that I made with him was to make sure this guy was an actual real person and legit. And he was so the drawings are expected to start comming in in the next couple weeks or so from him.
I also received a call from the dudie at S&D this morning too. I was told that he was very impressed with me, what I know, and my capabilities. I'm sure the fact that I knew far more about AutoCAD than any other person using it yesterday including the main guy that interviewed me (which has been using the program for the past 12 years). When it was done they offered me the position for no less then $18/hour starting pay. Not too shabby aye? The other cool thing about this job is that he is flexable on my hours (so he says). He's not really concerned with how I get them in or when I get them in just as long as I do get them in and get work done while I'm on the clock. This of course will be perfect for going to school. After I'm there a bit he's also going to set me up with a connection into work so I can work on the system from home. This job really wasn't what I was looking for really, however I will be able to learn a bunch of new shit (which I like doing). The only downside to this is that I might have to drop some classes this semester just so I can get started. Not that I have alot as it is but I probably won't have the time to do my music theory and oceanography shisnit and actually learn the stuff too while I'm learning the ins and outs of the new system. However I AM NOT dropping my CAD class. I made sure that it was a priority when setting up my starting hours with the guy.
So the moral of this story is that this nigga is going to be getting paid again finally. And with my side work comming in also this nigga is going to be well off. I can't wait till I get the money to send my parents on vacation. Not a fucking Disney World vacation... but a real one... seeing how they have never been on one. I also can't wait to fix up my car too. It's kind of a toss up between getting a new car or fixing up the civic. I think I'm going to finish the civic though just so I can cross it off on my uncompleted projects list. I really don't wanna be that guy thinking how everything I started in the past 20 years I never finished. And it's not even that much money really. For about <$4000 I can make my car big pimpin... not that I really want that now, but it would still be fun to drive around for a month or so. Really I just want to be able to have pictures and say "I did that!" Ok well I think I'm going to go pay my mema a visit now and rummage through her fridge... TA TA!!!
