The worst week ever...

So, this week has sucked.

I mean REALLY sucked. Remember all that bullshit about surgery not being that bad? forget it. it sucks.

Thursday: 1 week after my surgery. I had 2 popcicles in four days and had survived on water for the last day, but I woke up no longer being able to swallow spit. I was crying so hard I could barely talk to the nurse at my ENT's office (he was in surgery). They finally tell me to go to the emergency room. I spend from 10:30 am to 5 pm in the ER. I have Thrush (which is an infection that babies get). They give me two bags of fluid through an IV, plus two shots of demerol, a shot of anitibiotics and a shot of steroids (to help with swelling). I sleep on and off the whole time I am there. It was weird b/c it was the first time I felt the pain medication in my head, but not at all in my throat. I could tell it was working, cause the room was spinning, but the pain never actually dulled at all. They sent me home with four new perscriptions. That night I felt loads better.

Friday: I felt enough better to go shopping at Opry mills and eat potato soup.

Saturday: I woke up barely being able to swallow again. I am convinced my medicine isn't working. I ball on the phone to Craig cause I am missing Kevin's birthday and i am extremely homesick. I can't go home because I might get sick again and all my doctors are here.

Sunday (today): I try retail-therapy. I of course am broke, so I make a purposeful mistake. I now have an Old Navy Credit Card (dundundunnn). So I spent lots of money at old navy... and then you can use it at banana republic so i spent a little more there... and you can also use it at the Gap so i spent less than I a REALLY wanted to there, but I still spent some. I will pay it off with my residiual check... or something. Whatever, I feel better.

So tomorrow I will try to make an appointment with my ENT, hope that he tells me that my thrush looks like it is disappearing, and that I am safe to go back to work (and therefore home)

Oh, and I am no longer my older sister's maid of honor because she made up with her best friend, which is great and I wouldn't be upset about at all, except that I don't really like her best friend, and she has all stepped in to be like "oh you can't shop for wedding dresses without me" even though she totally lives in Florida. Plus, she wants to pick out bridesmaid dresses and she is 5'3" and weighs maybe 100 lbs. Not happening.

Oh and Larn drunk-dialed me. The entirty of our conversations consisted of:
Me: Hello
Larn: Mary, I am drunk-dialing you I don't think I have ever been this drunk (slurred of course)
Me: Aww, that sounds fun
Larn: Ok, well, I am going to get ba... What? AHAHAHAHAHA You didn't ::click::

Apparently someone did not do something very funny :)
