Christmas all went down OK. Thank goodness. It just went by too fast!
Unfortunately, now the entire world is going bananas again. I have an inch-thick stack of music to become reasonably conversant with by Monday. I have to call the ex-director of the group that I've inherited to get some clarification on what the heck is up there. And please, don't ask me how I ended up directing a group when I've been to two rehearsals and one performance. *sigh*
We have a party to go to tomorrow and Friday, and we have BannaOJ coming down with the other half for a day or so (which is probably the best thing on the whole list). We have a concert with the church choir on Sunday.
Monday starts rehearsals for Jubilee (see inch-thick stack).
I spent the afternoon deep cleaning the kitchen until I fell asleep perusing a catalog at the table.
Dinner was tasty, but took an unexpectedly long time to make. My house is a mess, and all I really want to do is crash on the couch and watch football.
I ate like a mad person over Christmas (and Christmas Eve, and the 26th, and the 27th...) and managed to pack back on a little over a pound. I'm trying to make myself feel better by looking at how far I've come and reminding myself that I've lost that pound, so I can do it again. I'm just a little over 10 pounds away from my goal.
I have to go shopping soon, though, because I can't make my old pants work anymore. I have two pairs of jeans that are awfully loose (that I bought this fall) and a pair of black slacks I bought right before Christmas.
I'd love to make it down one more size, but I think I would have to lose too much weight to do it. I'm comfortably in this size (which I haven't seen since my freshman year in college), and I don't know that 10 pounds would put me into the next one. We'll see, I guess.
As of Monday, I've lost exactly 35 pounds.
