BILLY-NO-PARENTS
Today I officially became an orphan; if it is possible to be an orphan at the age of 38. My beloved mother, Lilian Clara McKenzie died, aged 75 years. No words can express how devastated I am. I cry not only for the loss of my mother, but also for the loss of what she once was, ie. the magnanimous presence that she was in my life and a force to be reckoned with too! Having now lost both of my parents, I now feel truly alone for the first time in my life! Even though I still have some family and friends to turn to, it is not the same as having my parents around! There are three words that sum up my mother and my father - HONEST, DECENT and TRUE; for that's what they were in life and without them, my life is incomplete. R.I.P. Mum. xxx.
