Heroes

We were given the first season of the TV series "Heroes."  We've watched more then half of it in a few days.  It's captivating.
The premise is that a growing number of individuals around the world are finding they have "super-human" powers.  It is borne of the adaptation required by our species to survive.

Each person seems to have a unique power or gift.  One man can fly.  Another it seems is radioactive.  There is a girl who can regenerate and seemingly never die.  Matt Parkman can hear inside peoples heads.  The Haitian can neutralize... for example, any person with power is unable to use when he uses his neutralizing power.  There's a woman who can change to look like other people.  A guy who goes invisible.  A mechanic who has super duper hearing.... loudly hearing the alternations in anothers heartbeat.  There's a kid who can fix things and his dad who can go through matter.  Another woman can start fire with her fingers and another has dual personalities one of which is hyper-strong. An older gentleman has a healing touch.  One of the main characters so far is a painter who can paint the future in comic-strip style painting. It foretells future events and the cartoon is based upon a young Japanese guy who can alter the time-space continuum (i.e. teleport and stop time).

A 5.8 magnitude earthquake hit Italy.  58.
