this video has been making its rounds on facebook, and every time I see it it angers me more. Yes, even more than the ice bucket challenge which is another post for another time.
This video is fat shaming at its finest. Not all fat people do nothing but eat doritos and fast food while sitting on their fat asses playing video games. And, even if they did, is it anyone else's business? Does anyone say anything to the skinny people who do this?
Although I've been bad about it lately, I walk 5-7 miles a day. While I enjoy the occasional bad for you food, some days more than others, I eat fairly healthy. My blood work is well within the normal range, and my blood pressure is even low. So, while I look like a walking heart attack, I'm not.
Its not right that the people who post videos like this make me so self conscious that I don't want to exercise in public. That even though I really want that big juicy cheeseburger, I order the salad instead. That when its 90+ degrees out I opt for wearing a t-shirt and jeans instead of the tank top and shorts that would be so much more comfortable.
It really bugs me that people just make assumptions based off looks, its not right, its not fair.
It is not my place to judge you, its not your place to judge me. We all have our own burdens and issues. Why can't we all support each other?
