(Scene: Hanna is in the kitchen washing dishes. I've just come out of the shower)
Me (reaching across the sink): I want to test something with this little white thing.
Her: What is that thing?
Me: It's a cleaning sponge for countertops. It worked on the stove.
Her: Oh, I noticed the stove was clean.
Me: Yeah, it cleans really quickly. I'm going to try it on the shower curtains.
Her: Ooh, really?
(Hanna follows me into the bathroom and I rub the sponge on the mildewy curtains)
Me: It's working!
Her: Really?
Me: Yeah, look.
Her: Ooh, can I try?!
Me: Haha, yes, you can clean if you want to so badly
(Hanna tries it)
Me: Make sure to wash your hands well afterwards. I don't know what's in it and the packaging is all in Japanese. It has warnings that I can't read.
Anyway, I finished cleaning the curtain (we have two shower curtains and I only cleaned one of them). It did a pretty good job, but the curtain still looks dirty. Just about a tenth as dirty as it did before. Then I cleaned the bathroom sink. It works so well and it's so quick.
So for those of you who have access to Daiso or other Japanese dollar stores, I highly recommend picking up some cleaning sponges. And for those of you who don't have access to such a fabulous store, I believe the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is the same thing.
