Going on a Lent-like sugar fast is a good thing. You've done it before, you can do it again. And this time, maybe you won't be foolish enough to work so hard at getting yourself hooked again once the fast is over. It's the first two weeks that are the hardest. Once the intestinal sugar hungry wee-beasties have died off, it's easy! Don't invite the damn things back.

That headache you have? The one you've had since Friday? Yeah, it's a caffeine headache. Remember the last time you tried to quit caffeine cold turkey, when you were 21, and endured two weeks of the most horrible headaches? Not fun, not good, not necessary. Go ahead and wean yourself off of it slowly. *Then* go on the sugar fast.
