Weekend minutiae
Had a lovely weekend. Friends Michelle & Dan came over for a visit from Seattle. We walked around in the rain quite a bit Saturday afternoon, stoking Michelle's house lust. Ha ha...before Michelle & I headed out, Dan (geek of the gaming and computer variety) asked in an uncertain voice if it would be okay to take Aaron up to the hobby store to look at Warhammer stuff. Geez, twist my arm--ow, ow--okay. *grin*
Matt outdid himself with an uber-yummy salmon fillet for dinner and Michelle & I scooted out to catch a showing of Music & Lyrics at the 2nd run theater in my neighborhood (I love my neighborhood).
Kicked Sunday it off w/ French toast, then went down to Riverfront Park and enjoyed the sunshine, views, people watching and mini-doughnuts (yum!). Took the kids on the carousel, saw Michelle and Dan off on their way back to Seattle, and came home in advance of some threatening looking clouds. Rested awhile then took the kids up north to a bike shop and got Aaron a new bike (his bike got stolen last year and he's been making do with a substandard model with brakes I don't trust). Whee! he was pleased. Capped the day with a bit of sushi with my friend Ara (who i hadn't seen in forever).
A good weekend. :)
