WisCon is made of the awesomes! I just got finished with the Sarcassm and Superheroics panel, and it went brilliantly. This is the best con EVAR.

Whoo! I am at WisCon, and kphoebe and tekanji and revena and I are hanging out in our room reading comics and being geeky and mildly disappointed that you can't buy beer at grocery stores in Madison after 9:00 PM.

Earlier, we met up with morchades and went to the pool, where we played with JLA diving toys.

Whee!

Got a new Inside Out up, and now I'm getting ready to go. I can't wait to meet everyone and see Michael-the-Cranky-Economist again, plus the FOUR DAYS OF FEMINIST GEEKERY! (Now I just have to finish that bloody paper ( Read more... )

It's been a good weekend. Got this column up yesterday, which felt really good--it's overdue, but I think it's also the best installment in the SAAM / comics series so far. It also included a lot of discussion of Starman, which turned out to be pretty useful prewriting for my WisCon paper ( Read more... )

Recently heard from revena and kphoebe that WisCon has sent out finalized programming information to participants. Although at last count, I was on one panel, moderating two others, and presenting a paper in the academic track--that's not counting Karen and my mutual request that I be added to the "Sarcasm and Superheroics" panel, which is all about feminism ( Read more... )
