I enjoyed the novel and can’t wait to read the sequel. This is a book that I am likely to keep next to my bed just to reread. One great strength of the book is that it is not confusing and it’s not one of the books that requires you to look into the wording. One weakness of the book is that it only mentions this one boy once or twice in the book. He’ s is a spoiled, rich, brat, and it only says that he and Tom get in a fight for something, then the book never says anything about him. I have no questions I understood this book thoroughly. I can’t say it reminds me of any other book or play I have read. The author did a very good job creating the character Tom, cunning and adventurous. I don’t think I have read anything else by this author, so I can’t compare it to his other works.
