Back in the swing of things...
Whew! That was one nasty virus! I haven't felt that bad since, well the car accident was pretty awful, and the gall bladder issues in 2003, but this felt more like when I had German Measles back when I was 21. Yuck.
Yesterday I got my arse back in gear and exercised, today I did so as well. I don't want my arms to lose the tone I've given them over the past few weeks after all!
Sunday was bead factory day here: I made, fired & glazed oodles of polymer clay beads. I also did a few new sketches for some jewellery designs and will be building them this week. One of them is for my private collection; it shall be called "Turtledove" because it is all Widget coloured- black, soft brown & white. I haven't decided yet wether to do it on gold or silver chain & wire, may go with the gold because that is Widget's eye colour. I also made some new beads of the deep glitter grey and white pearl polymer clays, and will fire them to make a "Tahuti" set- finally something to go with that hematite ankh I got on sale! Yes, my private collection is filling up nicely, but I need to get more sale stuff out there.
Not much else going on. My job intensive seminar is done, so now I need to find a way to fill my mornings. Well, I could always make more jewellery, right? ;-)
My new computer is almost ready, can't wait to get it! I've got a great deal on it, all I may need to do is up the memory a bit, from 80 gigs to 120 or more. It's got a new top-of-the-line graphics card so that'll be lovely with my graphics software and with all my games. Jeez I'm a geek. ;-)
The weather has been great lately, a bit warm but not too bad and lovely cool breezes at night. I am looking forward to autumn though, and winter- and that reminds me, I must get ready to plant all my new herbs and the carnations.
I am signing a new lease this month, this time for a year. I love my cute little flat- it is small but I am very happy here.
Haven't entered any graphics contests, but I will likely get back at it soon. I am also having an urge to get back into blinkies again, maybe I will do some this week. It just seems like I have so many things to do, and so many things I want to do- I never get bored! Honestly, I cannot recall an instant of being bored in the past couple of years; that has got to count for something.
Okay, I am gonna quit typing for now & go make some dinner. It is 7:00pm and I am starving! Hugs and love to you all. :-)
