I have read FIFTY pages of a real, live, grown up book.  When Lilah and I were surviving without Ben a couple of weeks ago, I packed her up and took her to Barnes and Noble, from where I had a gift card that was burning a hole in my pocket.  In addition to a craft magazine, I picked out two books - one from the clearance section and one from the ( Read more... )

I read this book last year; I really liked it a lot. I was almost done with it when the Texas polygamy thing went down, and they're all from the same families!

I wanted to buy it when it came out, but I was trying to be all good and not buy all the books, but when it's only $6.99 or something and you've gotta gift card, well...

I'm so glad other people I know have read it! I am telling you - the polygamy thing is fascinating to me...I will watch all the Datelines and 60 Minuteses on it ;-)

Also, I read "Under the Banner of Heaven" many years ago, so that's why I feel like I have some sort of unhealthy fascination with the FLDS people. LOL
