An Open Letter:
Dear Hair Salon Receptionist Twit:
I realize that your job is a serious juggle of schedules and services. I also realize that you probably don't have any reasoning skills, and that you just list off times to me that are available when I call to make an appointment. But when I ask for specific times on specific days, do NOT ask me if there is another time or day that will work for me, because you know what, honey? If there were another time or day that would also work for me, I WOULD FUCKING ASK YOU IF IT WERE AVAILABLE.
ALSO -
Do not tell me that my stylist works from 1:00 - 8:00pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and THEN when I say, "Oh, great! Can I come in after 5:00 on one of those days?" DO NOT SAY, 'Oh, well she is booked up those two days."
THEN WHY DID YOU MENTION IT!? That is just irritating for the sake of irritation. ALSO - I just TOLD YOU that I work from 1:00 - 5:00 so it's really not feasible for me to take a DAY OFF from my part-time job to make your part-time job easier on you. :-p
So, in conclusion, thanks a shit ton for your non-help. I will now have to go to my baby shower with hair that is well past needing a cut and color done.
Perhaps now is a good time for me to start looking for that new stylist I'm going to need after this one has her baby anyway, right?
