If we pick a candidate for president based on who wears a fucking flag pin or not, then we don't deserve to have a country. Seriously.
Barack Obama is absolutely correct: People should exhibit their patriotism, not just wear a symbol and claim to be all patriotic and pro-American. It's no different than so-called Christians who wear a cross and then treat people in a way that Jesus would never condone.
We can butt heads over a lot of stuff, but what he's saying is this: Walk the walk, don't just talk the talk. And I have no issue with that what so ever. As a matter of fact, it is that type of attitude that I require in anyone I would want running the country.
