Way to yank a program before it ever has a chance.
Earlier this year, I was so excited when Allegiant Air announced non-stop flights from our local airport to Vegas for about 180 bucks round trip.
Of course, we already had a very heavy travel year planned, and were looking forward to taking advantage of it in the future, like, over Christmas or early next year.
Today they announced that they will cease the service on December 1 because not enough people were using it.
First of all - the flights were fucked up. You could fly out at 6:00am on a Friday to leave at midnight Sunday night (or a return day of Monday morning), or you could leave on a Tuesday to return on a Thursday. If you want people to use your service, make it convenient, tards. Maybe if you had offered a Thursday afternoon departure with a Sunday return, you would've been full each weekend.
Secondly, maybe starting your program at a time of year when people have likely already decided on summer vacation plans and yanking it less than a year later is not a good way to judge the success of a flight plan. Just sayin'.
Thirdly - Fuck you. Maybe you can go out of business and we can finally get Southwest to start flying in to us. :-p
