It's been a long time!

So I've been in a really pensive mood lately and seeing as how I've practically forgotten about my livejournal I figured I might post an update. I feel like sometimes I'm so busy and I just can't find the time, and then when things slack up I remember how much I enjoy writing and getting the chance to just get some things down makes everyone feel a little bit better I think.

Things have been well for the most part. Bob and I set a date for the wedding...June 21, 2008! Keep your calenders open! We're both so excited and I can't believe that we're getting married in less than 9 months. I haven't really thought about graduation at all and I should be really excited for it but I feel like I'm spending all my time worrying about the rest of my life (that's important too, right?). We also have a house...I know, really random! We got it really cheap at auction and it's gonna be a fixer-upper, but we're both excited to put in the work and really make it our house. It's in Marion, which is where we're both from around, so that's good that we'll be close to our families. It really limits my grad school choices, but considering that Ohio State has been my first choice for some time I've just gotta hope I really get in there. Speaking of grad school, I feel like I'm finally getting on the ball with grad school. I signed up last night to take the GRE on November 17th and this weekend will be spent looking at programs that I want to apply for. I know I'm going to get my Masters in Public Health or Microbiology (probably the first). It's just been one of those times that even though everything in my life hasn't been going exactly right that at least the future is looking amazing!

Things with DZ have been good. We have two new members who are adorable! Jello this year was a huge success again and so much fun! We raised over $700! I was really glad I got to plan and help with Jello again because it's so much fun and I just love being able to give back to a great cause like the Delaware Speech and Hearing center. They were selling shopping passes this week for Macy's tomorrow. Apparently Macy's is having a shopping day when if you buy a ticket ahead of time to help a local charity you can save big in the store. For $5 you get a $10 off coupon and then 20% off everything else you buy...how great! So me and Bob are going shopping tomorrow and I'm really excited to buy something for the house! I know, I'm turning into a housewife already, but I just can't even begin to describe how much I'm looking forward to getting married and settling down with Bob. I know we're young but I know that something like this, like us, doesn't happen everyday.
