I just love that this show is still ON. Best show ever. <3333333 It's such a great children's show.

Also: girls totally lack iconic role models. Boys have Superman and Batman and G.I. Joe, but girls lack definitive badass role models.

I think girls look up to BRATZ, with their lipstick and glitter. That's pretty aspirational. Oh, yeah, and BOYS!!!

And that imposter doesn't count as Katara.)

Female action figures frequently do--although I'm not sure whether it's a matter of the fanboy collectors' market, fangirls trying to snag heroic icons in their own image, and/or the ingrained sexism that leads toy companies to underestimate the demand for female action figures in the first place.
