These two episodes from the current fourteenth season of the PBS show Arthur really stand out. I felt that some people here in this community will find them interesting.

Honestly, fans of shows are very annoying sometimes. That's why I stay out of fandom. Arthur fans have female-dogged about how In My Africa was out there for being "PC" and "educational." OH, NO, LEARNING!
Sure, Arthur used to educate subtlely, but this was just one episode. Big whoop! I wish this episode existed when I was younger. There used to be an African teacher in my elementary school who taught kids not in her class about Africa and specifically her country, which I believe was Ghana. She even brought some food from it, which I forget what they were called. They were some kind of sugary treat that, as I recall, remind me of French Toast Crunch cereal, though my memory is bad so they might not have been like that at all.
Agent of Change is good because of gender issues. It also ties into boycotting, writing to movie producers and making a change. I wonder what young girls feel about female characters. Do they feel they are adequate role models? The kids in Arthur usually act more mature than their age (as most children in television shows) so I don't know if young eight-year-old girls are aware of female representation in entertainment. Hopefully, they do after watching this episode. I got a chance to discuss female roles in media to my little sister because of The Last Airbender controversy.
