True that! A battle strategy:

1) Kick M Night in the nuts
2) ?
3) Profit!

That was a joke on my part. But yeah.... I would expect him to pull something bastardly like that.

Because when you mess up "Aang" and "Avatar", you know that something unmistakenly asian is just going to be far too difficult for someone like him.

Technically "Ong" is the correct indian pronunciation for "Aang"

But... Aang isn't an Indian name. So, that still doesn't make any sense.

Especially since someone in this forum just said, Avatar is set in an eastern asian setting.

Exactly. Their names were Chinese, and were pronounced correctly for that.

But the problem with that pronounciation is that this wasn't meant to be an Indian show. It was an EASTERN asian world.

It's along the same lines of Columbia taking Death Note and making it American. The story was meant to take place in Japan for storytelling purposes. We have a history of serial killers here in America- Japan... not so much (I say so much, because I'm sure there have been some there as well). But that doesn't matter when money's involved.

It's why I like the indie things (ie. Paranormal Activity)- because it's an ART FORM.

Movies should reflect storytelling, coupled with what they're able to bring as a visual medium. Not just speshul effects.

And I didn't see the other comment before I posted that one. :)
