Nothing more Buddhist than a kid with a cross on his back.

Tent-pole again. He keeps using this word, I do not think it means what he thinks it means. I really want to bop him with my A-frame tentpoles (which are like two by fours)

Yup. I don't see him trying to compare TLA to his previous movies in order to make them look better. He latched onto TLA as his big opportunity to redeem himself from the very start, and despite the fact all the changes he's made so far have drawn nothing but criticism, pretty sure he'll swear his version was the best all the way to his grave.

Does it make me a bad person that I laughed for about 30 seconds at his last line there?

"That they'd let me make such a diverse, Buhddist, tent-pole summer movie - it's unbelievable!

...."Diverse". Riiiight.

And as generic_geek29 said, nothin' screams "Buddhist" (which seems to be misspelled in the original piece? Or is that an acceptable spelling that I've just never seen before?) like a big ol' cross tattoo. Urgh.

it's gonna sound biased coming coming from me, so take it with a grain of salt - but it's my best movie.

Honestly, considering your huge ego, Mr. Shyamalan, no one cares when you say this. Because you pretty much seem to say (or at least think) this about every film you make.

Reposted again for html fail, today is not my day, it seems.

What makes me sad is that he said "That they'd let me..." implicitly acknowledging that there is a group of people in Hollywood who would not allow diversity in a film.

His definition of diverse is quite different from ours but the statement is still very telling.
