IN WHICH I BLOW $100 ON AUTOGRAPHS.

So, today included a lot of waiting in line again, but since this time I was in air conditioned buildings I didn't mind as much.

I hung around the Walk of Fame (where all the celebrities are signing autographs) for awhile until John de Lancie showed up and I very nearly had a fangirl meltdown when I saw he was at his table. Like, I was really really nervous going up there. And even though his hair's gray now he is still a total cutie and yes I would tap that like the fist of God, do you even have to ask? So I got a picture signed of him as Q in that ridiculous judge outfit from Encounter at Farpoint (cause it had dem red gloves which I loooooooove) and then I asked him to sign my book I,Q and he did, even though it cost an extra $30. Whatevs, John de fucking Lancie is worth $60 in my book.

And then I got in line to get JFrakes' autograph (sidenote: someone said he hardly ever comes to cons so it's a pretty big deal that I could get his autograph) and I got a totally awesome promo pic of him from First Contact (this one) and then he made fun of me for wearing a Star Wars shirt. But he was totally sweet and still really hot.

AND THEN I waited in line for two hours for the TNG panel and got pretty decent seats. Garrett Wang was there again and he was messing around on stage before they came in, and was saying "Oh my" in his George Takei voice, and saying that all you need to do in a bad situation is just say "Oh my" like George Takei ("Say a cop pulls you over and says "Do you know that you were speeding" and all you say is "Oh my" and there you go, you don't get in trouble!").

Then they all came in and there was lots of cheering and the whole panel was hilarious because they are SO FUNNY omg. And both LeVar and JFrakes came in and were filming the crowd on their phones, and LeVar kept taking pictures of Brent and JFrakes during the panel. There was a microphone set up for people to ask questions but it was soft so they kept telling people to project. And then this one girl came up and started talking and they all shouted "PROJECT!" and she goes "I can't, I'm a librarian!" and they all start laughing, and then LeVar stands up and gives her a thumbs up. Once the laughter starts to die down, LeVar stands up again and starts singing the Reading Rainbow song and everyone in the crowd finishes, amidst more laughter. Then Marina, not to be outdone, stands up and starts singing the TNG theme song. So then she finally starts to ask her question but they're all still kinda talking so she tells them that they're worse than her 18 year olds. And JFrakes still isn't being quiet so she actually shushes him! And LeVar is like "You just got verbally spanked" and everyone starts laughing again and JFrakes says "Thank you, may I have another," but it was hard to hear over the laughter.

And then after that I went straight down to where John de Lancie's panel was going to be and waited in line again for two hours. But it totally paid off because I got to sit second row, right next to the center aisle. And again, John de Lancie: still so very hitable omg. He's not as much of a talker as Marina is so there were a lot more questions. I was hoping someone would ask about his nude scene in Deja Q (I'm much to shy to bring that sort of thing up) but no one did ;__;. Someone asked how he got the part of Q and he goes "Oh, you guys already know that story" but we still went "No, tell it again!" and some woman pointed to her young daughter sitting next to her. So John goes "Oh you brought a child into this...well you might as well hear it now: I slept with Gene Roddenberry." Everyone about fell on the floor laughing at that.

SO. Data panel shenangans tomorrow, I'll probably go back to JFrakes' table so I can get a picture with him and I'll probably get Marina to sign an Imzadi picture (because her table has several). ALSO: meeting LeVar Burton and Peter Mayhew
