goodbye letter to ACS

Jul 02, 2007 11:54

I found an exit interview on ACS' info bank. Some how they forgot to ask me to fill it out when they laid me off. They say it goes to Lynn Blodgett, President and Chief Executive Officer which I highly doubt. At best he pays someone like me to read them for him....

"I find it funny how there are missing options in this form for people who were laid off. But it matters little because I know how pointless these forms are. One of my many jobs at ACS was to compile exit interviews and read this comment box. These answers are going to compile into a statistic that will become pointless and loose any real meaning or value.

But that's not why I'm writing this. This is my plea to you. The person actually reading this. Get out while you can. You may feel like you are high enough up that you have a secure job, maybe you don't feel that way. You shouldn't. Someone higher than you that has never seen your face will fire you without a second thought because it cuts their costs and gives them a bonus at years end.

You likely think yourself smart, articulate, a loyal worker; but that won't stop the arbitrary bureaucracy that gets good people fired.

Getting fired from ACS is like getting dumped by someone you should have already broken up with. Walk away while you still have some dignity."
