and the wind starts to blow

Well, to be completely accurate, I still dream of writing books, but right now I'm writing modules. :D

Halo world, long time no LJ!

Or no post on LJ. Time, being, of course, the usual culprit. It always, always, aaaaaaaaalwaaaaaays goes AWOL on me. Sigh. And my perpetual struggle is to run after it. On the bright side, must be why I'm losing weight...HAHA.

charmedhouseelf was right, everyone's back on LJ.  At first I wasn't going to start this soon, but seeing the amount of people I'm suddenly learning about all over again, I decided to pitch in, even just a little. Knowing me, though, the next time I post will be, um, in a month? Just like how it takes me a couple of days to reply to a text message. Yeah, I'm blaming it on time, again!

(External locus of control much? XD)

Back to the books vs. modules comment...not that I mind writing modules. Since all the graduating students at school are currently being assessed for their cooking/baking skills and all the first years are out on OJT, I got no more subjects to teach, so I was assigned to fix the modules for all my subjects + everyone else's.  Daunting task, considering I'm counting 22+ modules and I'm only on number one, but I'm looking forward to it as well. It's something concrete I can contribute to the school. :) It just gave me a kind of funny feeling when I asked the academic assistant (who works on the computer beside me) if I could put my name on the module I'm making (my subject, of course), and she said why not. As editor anyway.  This is not going to be officially published, since it's school property, but it's nice to have my name on something that isn't a printed story stashed away in my own cabinet. XD

Yeah, the time-lapse since my last post (2008 homaygawsh 3 years!) is big; I'm working now, though not yet just for a year. I'll post on that some other time, since in my opinion, my school is worth writing about *obvious pride.* Never thought I'd end up working here, or teaching what I'm teaching, but, as I'm learning, you never know where life will take you.

....Right. Just last week, my house was watching Lea Salonga's 2010 concert. And when she sang "Journey," the person beside me laughed and tapped my shoulder, saying to me and another person, "Bagay sa atin 'yan!" (That suits us!). Honestly that made me very squeamish--sentimental saaaaaaap! But then I listened to the lyrics, and she laughed out loud again at one line...take a guess which one.

Really, you never know.
