Today's Wine: Cave Spring Riesling

why yes, I have been drinking on my own since six.

And I think I would like to write a blog.

Yes yes, I know I have you, livejournal, but I tend to just write random stuff, and livejournal is very much a personal thing, one which I would be uncomfortable linking to from some of the websites I also write for (www.apt613.ca). Also, I really want to write a blog about Ottawa and my apartment and experiment with writing in a more public voice (although I would then have to cope with people I don't know commenting on my blog, and people can be jerks, even when they don't mean to be, so ... that would be interesting?) as opposed to the random posting that appears here. I'm all inspired by a random Ottawa blog that I happened across (because of a post about all the Superman costumes at Burning Man, of all things), and dammit, if I am going to live and love in this city, well, maybe I should experiment with getting into the blog life here too.

Also, I managed to unpack another two boxes (yay! although don't get too excited, I in no way found homes for all the stuff in those boxes, so they're mostly decorating my piano at this point), but I've been good and creative and have started on a number of the creative projects I've been wanting to do (go me!).

Also, I have discovered a huge and inordinate love of surf punk. No, this isn't a new and interesting form of steampunk fashion, it is a music genre and I appear to adore it.

So, here is my question. Would you guys want me to crosspost to LJ if I started a blog (Thistletime? Keep Ennuiframboise? Oo, so many decisions, I love it) or just have a link somewhere so if you want to know about the Burlesque scene in Ottawa you can just go check it out your own sweet self? [sidenote, The Sadies are so good! How are they so good? Why did they not make me fall this in love with them when I saw them live??] I do a lot of things in Ottawa, and I think I would like a home for these things, but am also v. aware that almost none of you live in my city (which is entirely your fault) and feel odd chatting about them here.

Hmm...
