the la prairie white caviar launch yesterday was fantastic. it was held at the dbs treasures building, which is surprisingly cosy and inviting, and we were allowed to try the products which have amazing silky-soft texture and lovely scent. as well they should be, after all they do cost upwards of SGD700 per bottle. and that's for the 30mL size. the hors d'oeuvres were awesome as well, i had a lot of everything because the waitress likes me because i so clearly enjoyed my food haha. rare tuna on angel hair pasta + cherry tomato tartlet + egg caviar + potato croquettes + mushroom quiche + two desserts: meringue and i forgot what the other one was but it was chocolatey and rich and oh so delicious. (it's the sunken chocolate soufflé!) i would have eaten it all - and they would have happily allowed me to do so - but there simply wasn't enough time ): ah well. the catering company was fine palate, and i thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my evening. not to forget the door gifts: samples of white caviar creams and serums, but i won't get to use any of them anyway (they are for more mature women i feel. far too strong and rich for my delicate unwrinkled skin)
