"Ching Ming"

What exactly does it mean, I'm unsure of it. All I know is that it's the time of the year where individuals or families gather together and send their offerings to their ancestors and/or their beloved who had passed on.

We've been doing this for years now, but this year it's a tad different. Chantings of "Ohm mani pali ohm" (sorry if I spelt it wrong) were chanted 108 times around the Money Beads. It's said that the deceased will receive 1 "merit" whereas the chanter will receive 6 from a total of 7.

When one has passed on, it's up to us to continue going on, but it's just this indescribable feeling when I saw this particular family crowding around the table, it's like I can feel their warmth, this sense of feeling that made me feel at ease from within.

And my uncle and his family are so... Devoted.

Which made me wonder...

How many of us are able to remain attached to the ones who gave us life in many different forms even after years of their death anniversary?

I wasn't able to feel that, something is clearly wrong.
