Korg Ms-2000

I think I bought this after a break up, a little retail therapy works for guys as well. At the time my Juno 106 was not working, so this took its place. This is Korg's attempt at kinda giving it clients what it wants by kinda bringing back an older synth. By kinda it looks older but is not analogue and does not sound the same. The good; it it really easy to program, it sounds really clean and you can get a bit of grit out of it. The bad; its built cheap and shows, the arpeggaitor slips in it timing, and, while clean, the sound can be a bit thin. Its way easier to tone down a patch than to beef one up into something it is not. I got this as I was putting out the second And Christ Wept cd, it on all three remixes I did, it is on the first Backandtotheleft cd as well, does the bass in Misstep and Imperfection, the lead in The Land of Make Believe and others. I guess the true test of a synth is if you use it on music you release, and that I did. On some of the best stuff. I did sell it to get the Microwave XTK. I sold it to Mike, so it has been on stage with a few bands and now is with The Break-Up, funny how it was bought due to one and now is in a band called that. I know they have used it heavily on the releases as well. I checked Ebay and they have held there price as they were a popular product, until Korg started to release true reproduction of there classic stuff.
