I just watched through volume four of Family Guy. I was lucky enough to convince my co-worker to leave it behind for me to watch through the evening. It had some parts that were just funny as hell. I don't even recall seeing any of the episodes that were on there. I am planning on watching the original Stargate movie next just to finish up the night with a little bit o' geek. Speaking of geeky stuff I stopped by Wal-Mart for the release of the Nintendo Wii. I was gonna pick one up for Pugo if I could cause he didn't get there in time. I wasn't expecting to be able to get one but still I offered. So, I get there and see the electronics section completely devoid of human beings. I thought, "Hey! Maybe there isn't gonna be a wait here for the Wii. I might actually stand a chance of getting one now. As I was walking down the action alley going to the electronics section, I looked to my right and saw a wall of geeks. Appearantly Wal-Mart had corralled all the geeks onto one solid line behind the crafts section for the Wii release. There were about 45-50 people seated along the wall waiting patiently for to get their hands on the Wii.
First thought that comes to mind: "Man, these people really have no life." So, I take my cart and go check out the games in electronics anyway. I had mainly stopped into Wal-Mart to buy my lunch for the night anyway. As I am looking I hear some loud shouts coming from the game section. A geek fight had broken out. One of the people sitting in line got up to use the bathroom and someone else took his seat lol. As I was checking out an annoucement came over the intercom calling for all available male associates to come to crafts. I shook my head and left, heading to Taco Bell to pick up some rice and potatoes (I do so love me some Cheesey Fiesta Potatoes) I saw cops speeding to Wal-Mart. LOL
All in all though, a very boring night for me. Not so much as a call from a client and Travis wasn't there when I called either. I might just hold off on getting a Wii until next year when I don't have to compete with a wall of geeks for a unit. I wanna be able to just waltz down there in the spare time I have on my shift and get one without having to sit for hours on end in a line. I would say after the Holdays would be the time to get a Wii and sometime around March or April would be the time for me to get a PS3. That is around the time I get my paid vacation days anywho.
