I was tagged by celandineb and kabal42. I've enjoyed reading other people's answers to this one, so here are mine.
I'm supposed to tag eight sexy people to fill it out next, but I'm pretty sure everyone on my f-list who would be willing to do it has already done so by now! If not, consider yourself tagged. :P
Who sleeps in bed next to you? At the moment, just Ari!
What's one of the strangest things that has ever happened to you? Wow. My life has been full of strange happenings. I'm having a hard time picking one that doesn't require a long-winded explanation. Being I.D.ed for cold medicine the last time I was in Oklahoma and then having the store employee pinch my cheeks when she found out I was over 30 was a bit o_O-worthy. Certainly not anywhere close to the strangest, though.
What kind of magazines do you read? Uh, do academic journals count? Most frequented of those would be American Journal of Physical Anthropology and Journal of Human Evolution.
If you could see one band in concert right now, any band, dead or alive, which would it be? That's a pretty tough question, since I've been fortunate enough to see the bands/performers I would most want to see at least once (Boston, Yes, and Alice Cooper being the top three). I'd like to be able to go back to the 70s and see the original Boston lineup play. I'm still sad about Brad Delp. :(
What's really creepy? Fifty-year-old men who state in their dating site profiles that they're looking for a woman between the ages of 18 and 30. Okay, maybe that's more moronic and sleazy than creepy.
Name one odd item within five feet of you. What constitutes "odd?" I have loads of stuff sitting here that most people would think was odd but the people on my f-list would find completely normal! Hmm. I have a little rubber lizard that sits on the base of my monitor. No idea why I kept the thing, but it's been there for so long now that it's just sort of a fixture.
What's your current fandom/obsession/addiction? Always HP fandom! Merlin is the only TV show I'm currently following that I have to watch. (Damn the Sci-Fi channel for canceling SGA!) Still love Tin Man, and am currently poking around a bit in SGA, Merlin, and Star Trek Reboot fandoms. Addictions include, but may not be limited to fandom, internet, and Dr. Pepper.
Where would you like to go right now if you had enough money? I'd go on a big road trip and visit as many people on my f-list as possible! I'd definitely have to fit eeyore9990, nehalenia, infiniteviking, ceria_taliesin, melantha, sweet_hedonia, and unbroken_halo in there someplace, 'cause I've known them for ages and haven't had a chance to meet them yet! ::squishes f-list::
What are you most excited for? The DC Slash Retreat coming up in... eep!... just a little over a week!
What websites do you always visit when you go online? IJ, LJ, and various emails (although I sometimes avoid the school one, meep!). There are others that qualify as "often" or "usually," but not quite "always."
What was the last thing you bought? Stuff for Ari on petfooddirect.com, and groceries for me.
What's your favorite season? Any one that's warm. We hateses the cold, precioussss.
Does the weather affect your mood? OMFG YES. Does anyone not know this about me??
What is your zodiac sign? Aquarius. (Moon, Mercury, and Venus in Capricorn with Leo rising, for those who pay attention to such things.)
Do you want to learn another language? Okay, see, here's the thing. Languages are my academic weak point. I am awful at them. If I could learn one relatively easily, then sure, that would be great. But as it is, I'd rather not touch language learning with a ten foot pole. I have so much respect for multi-lingual people.
5 things (not people) you can't live without? A computer with a (high speed) internet connection. (Is that one or two?) My meds. My intellect. Lots of down time.
Do you have any siblings? Nope!
What's something you'd like to say to someone right now? I'm really disappointed that you brought that up two years after the fact. You clearly need to learn to let things go and move on.
What's your earliest memory? Out at my grandmother's old place in the country, being held up in an apple tree and reaching for an apple. I had always thought I was probably at least four or five when this happened, but a while back I saw a picture that had been taken of the event -- and I was only a few months old. o_O
