Went to Chicago last weekend.
Saw the Field Museum and Steve Carrell and Ryan Gosling co-star in "Crazy, Stupid Love".
It was a good weekend. Went to a variety of restaurants and had good Chicago food, cajun brunch on Saturday and hot pepper sandwiches later in the day.
The area around the Field Museum is gorgeous. You can see the skyline rising in the west(I have no idea what direction it is) and the water stretches beyond the horizon off to the north (another guess). The field museum is immense. So vast that in four and a half hours all we were able to see was a special exhibit of Ghengis Khan, half of the natural displays, and then the native Americans, which is the largest amount of information and displays on the culture I have seen in one place.
Laura's condo was comfy and filled with the smell of dog. Although, for the amount of square feet you get and the price you pay, real state will break you in Chicago (if the traffic doesn't first). Both pedestrians and automobiles choke the city. A zombie infestation would decimate the area in days if not hours.
