Helloooooooo Again!

I haven't been around in a while but I thought I'd zoom in and give everybody a sniff, see how you're doing. It has been pretty quiet and boring at my house lately. So many of My People have Gone Away for long, long times and I don't like that. But everyone is back home now and it is nice warm weather so we play outside together and that is good!
First, thanks so much to twop_tjl for remembering my birthday! That was so nice of you! If you were here I would jump up and hug you and give you a wiggle-butt-dance and make sure you got lots of kisses and love pats and - what? Oh, Big Sis says that not everybody likes lots of Golden kisses and hugs. That's too bad. I have so many! Well, I guess I'll just sit and give you my pretty-head-tilt-smile-face, okay?
So, I'm five years old now, which I think means I'm supposed to be all grown up and mature. Not so much.
I am trying and I'm much calmer than I used to be. But I've also been a very bad boy at times.
One thing I'm focusing more on now that I'm older is making sure the Family and the House are Safe. I like pretty much everybody, but when your People are out alone or when it is nighttime, it is important to be Extra Careful and Protective.
Just the other night, I had to let Momma and Big Sis know that something was invading our Territory. Momma took me Out so I could show her and there was a strange Dog walking through our Yard and up by the House. The nerve!
I let him know very clearly that this was MY House and my family did not want any other Dogs poking around. That is very rude. I don't think he'll be trying that again. But if he does, I'll be ready!
