How I Spent My Summer Vacation
Hi, everybody!!!
Is it hot at your house? It's HOT at my house - at least the outside-part. I hope you are staying cool with drinking lots of water and coming in the house a lot. I like lying on the tiles, but there is also the WONDERFUL holes in the floor that blow out cold air! Just listen and you'll hear a machine noise and that's when the floor-wind is coming. You can move over and lie right down on top! AHHHhhh!
I have been very busy this summer. My People have been Gone Away a lot, and that is not nice. But Big Sis and me go walking all the time now and that is VERY nice!
Yesterday, I even got to go in the CAR!!!! We drove and there was noises and breezes and smells and it was So Much Fun! But then we stopped and got out - and it was even BETTER!!!
We went to the Place of 10,000 Smells. I mean it! There were paths through the woods and places where kids were playing on these little buildings and tunnels and swinging things. And there were different people walking all over the place and trees and leaves and long grass and bushes - each with a new smell! I even saw this Small Furry Thing With Long Ears that ran very fast - but I didn't chase it since I was on leash.
We walked and walked and smelled EVERYTHING (well, I did, Big Sis never seems to stop and smell the grass clumps) until it was almost dark. And it was wonderful!
But TODAY was even better!
We got up early and went for a walk right away! Which made me very excited, because usually we have to wait all day long to go walking.
We went to this new place that was like a big Backyard - AND THERE WERE OTHER DOGS THERE!
At first there was only one dog there - and he didn't have any people with him, poor thing. I asked where they were, and if they were coming back, but he didn't know. And then some other dogs came with their Human.
But before that I went to go inspect the perimeter. Big Sis and I smelled along the whole fence of that Yard - well, I smelled, Big Sis walked with me. THEN we got down to playing and greeting each other!
We got to play and run for a long, long time - and before we left even MORE dogs showed up! It was SO! MUCH! FUN!!!
But I was very tired on the way home. (I even stopped and laid down in the grass at somebody's House)
Well, I just heard the machine noise that means the floor wind is blowing so I'm going to take a nap!
