This is a post I typed 90% of back in May, as kind of a recap of Finale Week, but never actually posted. It's been a long, hot, summer hiatus, it seems appropriate to post now as kind of a review of where we left off, no?

Well, the Metallicar is totaled and one or all Winchesters are more than likely dead; (Except not, because the CW picked it up for Season TWO!) Beaver apparently invented spy pens and is the root of all evil (and dead), Weevil is not dead but incarcerated, Lamb was NOT on the plane, and so is not dead, but is still a pretty evil jerk himself, Duncan is the Godfather of Down Under, Keith stood Veronica up for something to do with Kendall, also, “What’s in the briefcase?” fics are not as tantalizing as “Who’s at the door?” (for which, we are all grateful); T-Bag is one-handed, Sara OD’d (but her hair looked FABULOUS!), Nick Savrinn was an evil stoolie after all and died (as predicted) however both Pope and Tweener survived the finale!, the latter even contrived a successful escape, proving that even cheesy shows on FOX can surprise you, the rest of the gang is on foot, out of breath, and in sight of a couple dozen police vehicles and helicopters; I don’t watch Lost anymore but apparently there’s yet ANOTHER hatch, and people dying and people seeing dead people and really, no more answers than ever before - oh yeah, and the "it-has-four-toes?!" thing; Also in shows I don’t watch - Grey’s Anatomy - so Denny died, which means that if John Winchester doesn’t survive, the television-viewing audience will go from a double-dose of Jeffrey Dean Morgan to none, which seems especially cruel on top of going through the characters’ deaths; The UNIT fielded a terrorist attack on their home turf (in tuxes, no less!) Mack is leaving, Jonas is shot; Brass was also shot, but is not dead, (seems to be a lot of that going around this season - the not-real deaths - apologies to all fans who DID have beloved characters die (as I heard happened with Ghost Whisperer? And possibly Criminal Minds?); Although Don was the one drugged it was the other two Eppeseses who dreamed of dead people, (lot of THAT going around to during this year's finales) Alan ALSO got shot (except it turned out to be a dream sequence in the opening trailer, which, bad form, promo monkeys, bad form); Over on Charmed there were dead people and not-yet-dead people and were-dead-but-got-better people and a big ol’ cross-dimensional family reunion; Oh yeah, and Gibbs QUIT!

(Yep, looking back, that's STILL one of the biggest stunners of the season for me. The NCIS and Supernatural finales.

Oh, and The Office - I wasn't even really watching that show when the season ended and it hit major shipper buttons I didn't even know I had!)

I realize that Prison Break's second season has been on the air for several weeks now, but all the others are still on hiatus, and it's my post so I'm leaving it as is, okay?

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go - my shows are getting ready to start!
