What exactly is a Sacher Torte (or Sachertorte), you may be asking?
A Sachertorte is a rich chocolate cake filled with apricot jam and topped with chocolate icing.
The cake consists of two layers of fluffy chocolate dough with a thin layer of apricot jam in the middle and dark chocolate icing on the top and sides. This is traditionally eaten with whipped cream, as most Viennese consider the Sachertorte too "dry" to be eaten without.
I REALLY want to try this. I'm usually not big on fruit/chocolate mixes (except chocolate-covered strawberries), but this LOOKS exquisite.
