Honestly, I've realized that a lot of what we think is hunger, is really either a) thirst b) cravings c) boredom. If I distract myself from c, and drink lots of water, the only thing I have to deal with is the cravings. Then it's just a battle of my wills.
There ARE days when I just want to graze all the time. It's like that commercial where the girl keeps coming back to the fridge, doing the eat-it-from-the-carton-with-the-door-open-while-you're-still-looking thing. And the narrator says something like "Because some days the only thing you feel like eating is half a jar of peanut butter, chocolate, {something else} and a lot more chocolate."
Those days, I try to keep myself in check and eat more of good things instead of bingeing on cake, candy, pasta, whatever.
