Been a while... again... >.
Been another good while since I've posted anything in either of my journals again... grrr... but since lj seems to be a tad more peaceful than dj I guess I'll post the good stuff going on in here ^_^
Let's see... right now it's my break between Political Science and Computer Science, so I got more than an hour to kill... here goes ^_^
Something I got recently is a little game by the name of Beatmania IIDX. So far I've gotten 6th and 7th mix, and have 2 official controllers so its really cool ^_^. It's from the people that made DDR, so it's a rythym based game but you use your hands instead of your feet. There are 7 buttons you can press as well as a turntable to well... turn XD. You press the buttons as directed by the on screen cues, but the best part is that you are actually making the music! Unlike DDR where you step to the beat, in Beatmania, you create it! So if you play really well the song will flow and sound as it should. If you play not so well, the song will sound like utter crap, even though its funny sometimes. Good stuff, I can't wait to get as good at this as I am at DDR ^_^
Oh yeah I got my check about 2 weeks ago. $3,100 baby! WHHOOOO!! Too bad half of it is gone already XD... but it was well worth it! The first thing I decided to get was a Geforce 6800 Ultra, the latest and greatest video card for a computer. Although it was a crackhead to install, and even more so to get it to actually work, after 5 hours I was able to make it run the way it was supposed to and ooooh man... it rocks ^_^. I can play ANY game, including Doom 3, with all details set to max, at the highest resolution (1600x1200), and even stuff like 4x AA and 8x AF enabled, and still have it run smoothly! THE POINT IS, my games look ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC and run so smoothly, that I would cry if I could... ESPECIALLY DOOM 3!!! HOLY CRAP!!! This game is so much more scarier when everything looks so much more realistic... its great! ^_^
What else... oh yeah, Halo at Jason's house is definetly starting to look up, for me anyways. Since Jason got roadrunner, I downloaded a program for him that lets him play most of his games online, especially Halo! So lately all Jason and Franks and the gang have been doing is owning people online pretty bad, and I join the fray and help them take everyone out whenever I can. Great fun! I'm getting a lot better I think... so far I've learned how to kill someone with 3 pistol shots, have great accuracy with grenades, learned the double melee, give great support and cover fire. One thing I'm especially proud of is my ability to defend the flag when we play CTF. How I handle the shotgun is my creation and when I get my hands on one, no one gets near the flag ^_^ Can't wait until Halo 2 comes out and we start an online clan and all that good stuff, sounds like a lot of fun!
And of course, Naruto is still kicking hardcore major ass. I just saw episode 101 last night and it was by far the funniest episode to date. The basic premise was that Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were hell bent on wanting to see what was under Kakashi's mask... needless to say, the comedy involved was non-stop and was the best as usual. Rock Lee better come back soon dammit, I want to see him kick some ass again! Not too much action lately tho... hopefully things pick up again soon ^_^
Hehe... On friday when I got out of school it just so happened to be raining up the arse... REALLY bad, you could literelly feel every raindrop that hit you, they were pretty heavy. With my luck of course, I just so happened to park 2 parking lots and 3 streets away from campus.. so there I go, the only smart guy walking across campus and parking lots and streets in that kind of weather. It was great tho, it's been such a long time since I was out in the rain, it felt great ^_^. That and the sky was completely grey... nothing but rain everything, to the point that it obscures your vision... I wish I could have just stood out there until the rain stopped but I didn't want my stuff to get wet. Too bad it didn't matter since MY PHONE GOT WATER IN IT AND ISN'T WORKING NOW! Yep, I had it in my pocket for a while until I figured out I was getting so soaked I might as well have been swimming, so I put it in my back pack but I guess it was too late already. The screen works fine, but the buttons don't work. Wait.. scratch that, actually now it won't even turn on. Great... But still, it was well worth it, talk about a way to start the weekend ^_^
Oh yeah I also helped Gonzo and Vickz put there computers in the new cases they ordered! THEYRE SO COOL!! Vickz got this case where the front plate has horns going across each side and now she's calling her computer the devil... lol... Gonzo got one that has a vampire type theme, where the wings start at the front and go across on the sides. Not only that, they both have huge side windows and red eyes on the front that light up all super cool when the computer is on. We were able to get everything in Vickz's case ok, and her computer ran fine, despite a few cuts here and there that Gonz and I sustained XD. Gonzo's comp isn't cooperating though... Can't get it to work =/. I'll have to look into that later...
For now though, I don't really have much to look forward to... just homework... and I REALLY need to start training again! I've been putting it off for way too long... This level of strength may have been fine to take out anyone in high school but here it's a different story... If I can't take care of myself, how am I supposed to take care of anyone else?! I've got to get stronger! maybe tonight... I also started playing UT2k4 again, and I'm getting better at that too ^_^, which I would be disappointed if I wasn't... I've been playing the UT series since its debut in 1999, God I love those games ^_^ I should start working on beating Doom 3 tho... hmm...
Tomorrow I have an off day so I'm going to make a little trip and see some familiar faces. I also have to talk to my old teacher about something pretty important... Turns out someone has started a petition for PSJA to teach a Bible class as an elective. Nothing preachy or religious, just the Bible as a history text. I got the man's info and luckily I know the right person to talk to to get the same ball rolling here in McAllen... hopefully everything goes well! ^_^
Geez... this is a pretty long entry eh? Sorry about that, but I am a fast typer and think at 1000 miles a second after all.. and besides, reading is good for you ^_^ Looks like my time here is up though, class is going to start in about 10 minutes.
