I was in the mood for The Prisoner, today and went looking for streams, and...hoop-dee-doop! The complete series is on AMC.com. There's also going to be an updated version coming out in November. I...have rather mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, Ian McKellen will be playing Number Two, but on the negative side...I don't really think a remake was necessary; the original was just. that. good.

It's probably my favorite TV show of all time: 1960s futuristic, very British, and completely WTF. Also...it was a major contributor to my getting together with Max. We were introduced by mutual friends at a party; at some point after that, he made the "be seeing you" gesture, and...we pretty much ignored everyone else after that and talked Prisoner for the rest of the night. And the rest, as they say, is history.
