"A mother raises her children and thinks she knows them well, but she doesn't know them at all."
Rose couldn't understand her mum's concerns. She might not be the Rose that her mum knew, how could she be after all the things that she'd done with the Doctor? That was a good thing though. At least in Rose's eyes it was. She knew that no matter where she traveled and what she did she would always have a little of the Council Estates in her. At her core, she will always be the Rose that her mum knew. Besides, how was it a bad thing that she was taking after the Doctor? He put himself in danger, helping others without wanting or caring about the thanks.
"I don't care." Rose told Jackie. "People change all the time, yeah? I'm just changing differently. Better." She walked around the console toward her mum. "I'm still me. I'll always be the daughter that you raised me to be. I know you think that the only reason I come back to Earth is to visit you. It's not. This will always be my home no matter where I go."
She still remembered the feeling that she had when the Doctor took her to see the end of the world. All those alien looking aliens and Cassandra as the last human who was nothing but lipstick and skin. Rose had come a long way since that time, but there would always be a bit of sadness that the Earth would be destroyed. Even if it was a billion years into the future. The TARDIS might be where she lived now but Earth would always be her home.
