I think I'm gonna have to sum this one up, because it's definitely 3 AM.
Ate breakfast, called coworker Farleigh, who had asked me to help other coworker Taryn's husband into a new appartment. I had agreed because Taryn is my favorite LC (Legislative Correspondent). Did so, after some trouble. Finally caught up with them at the new appartment in Dupont Circle (old on Capitol Hill) after stopping to see a band at RR Int'l Trade Center.
Ran into Marcy Benson from Willard (Northwestern).
Spent most of the rest of the day helping Kevin move. It was fun and I got some exercise out of it. After the move, I went out to Alexandria with Kevin to help him put some stuff in storage. I was expecting no payment, except in food and beverage for the day. I received no such ammenities. Kevin did, however, insist on paying me "30 or 40 bucks," he said. I asked for payment in beer, but he handed me a roll of bills (20s) at the end of the day and offered me dinner some night with him and Taryn. He refused to take back even one of the twenties when I tried to return it. So I thanked him and went on my way. Later on, I found out that he had given me not 30 or 40, but $100. I am sure it was an accident because at least two of the bills were stuck together. I'll give it back to Taryn on Monday, though not all of it, I suppose.
Went out to Dulles to pick up Grace (a little less than 1.5 hours each way!). It was great to see her again and we rode the hour and half back by Metro, talking all the way.
We got back and, after briefly hanging out with a little get-together across the street, went out for another late-night monument tour. We did Lincoln, Korea and Jefferson, again, but this time we added FDR. An alarm went off at FDR (I think because of us), so we came home. We only got back about half an hour ago. I got another flat tire thanks to a random and small hunk of metal. Damn.
Finally goin to bed looking forward to a very full tomorrow.
(Note, please ignore previous random garbledness. I was very tired. I fixed it, though. See?)
