*My Friday off was good. 2.5 hours in the hairdressers was fantastic - especially that shampooing and rinsing and treatment and head massage. Hair is less grey and less triangular now. Then shopped for clothes, make-up before having lunch in a cafe while reading a trashy mag. Home for nap before menfolk returned.
*Friday night is a special night for me and Curls. We sit on the bed and look at Google images and websites that he likes. His favourite site of the moment is:
http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/ Check it out. It's like 'Go fug yourself' for cakes. Makes me cry with laughter every time.
Curls also likes to do searches on 'antarctica', 'fruit', 'snow', 'marble run', 'mouse trap' and 'toaster'.
*Weekend with kids because X at work. Saturday was a DVD day. Spike enjoyed "St Trinian's" and luckily didn't get all the jokes. He thought "Posh Totty" was the name of one of the girls. Russell Brand, the UK 'comedian' who is currently touring OZ, was playing the role of 'Flash Harry'. I don't understand why people think he is funny. Rupert Everett is superb when he isn't acting opposite Madonna.
*Took the kids out for beach and park and churros on Sunday afternoon.
*X's new iPod shuffle arrived in the ppst from China. How speedy was that! Rang Apple to complain that they had forgotten the engraving. Turns out I had my thumb over it. How stupid did I feel???
*Bankwest is cutting 250 jobs in WA alone. Baslerin and basler both on tenterhooks to see whether that means them. Fingers crossed for no redundancies in the family, please!
*Hareton quit his job at the AIDS council. He's going back to fulltime teaching. We start work on the family tree soon.
*Wondered why wedding anniversary wasn't on the calendar. Turns out this is because it is also easter sunday this year and there wasn't room for the both.
*Getting excited about Fairbridge Festival now.
*Look at all the four-day weeks in April!!! Do we love public holidays (even if they are religious in nature)!
