Kaleidoscope Eyes
As it gets late and snow starts falling
It becomes nearly impossible to see.
I can’t keep my eyes on just one thing;
If there’s one road for you to follow, I have a choice of three.
Every step seems like a leap of faith,
All I can do is slide and hope,
But it doesn’t get any easier
When I’m looking through a kaleidoscope.
One little snowflake makes no difference.
The problem comes when they all aim for my glasses.
I’m always asking myself how badly I want to get home,
Or if I can just wait all night until the snowstorm passes.
If I decide to let it snow,
Tomorrow morning, it’ll be too deep.
If I would try to get home tonight,
It’ll take so long to get back, I’ll have no time to sleep.
As I step outside and look through my kaleidoscope,
I have so much trouble trying to make up my mind.
It’s always a difficult decision when I have to choose
Whether I should be totally sleepless, or wander home, snowblind.
