fellow teachers, how do we live this way?

not sleeping, sometimes not eating, keeping 1000 things in our heads, floating, keeping long hours, not cleaning our homes, not washing our clothes, always washing our hands, yelling, "quiet down, sit down, calm down, stop, what are you doing, you're late, you're missing that assignment, no i haven't graded that yet, i'm not going to grade that for a while, i can't wait till friday," buying things for fun but not being able to find the time to have it, being lonely, being frustrated, being unappreciated, being overjoyed by the little achievements, being exhausted at 9pm, all while still being excited every morning to go back and try it all again.

by the way, the prestige was an incredible movie. i loved it. so much so that i will purchase it soon. see it if you didn't. what i did find slightly ... strange? i guess? was that christian bale and hugh jackman exchanged accents? hugh was american and christian was like kinda irish sounding, when in reality christian is american british/welsh (nerveux has corrected me as to his origins) and hugh is australian. whatever, the movie was still amazing.

movies, teaching
