back to yarn, finally.

Originally uploaded by kittenlogic i've been working on this since i got the new wheel. i've barely had any time after school to spin anything, so this took forever of one night on, another night off of spinning.
here it is in its finished, washed glory. it's still damp in this picture.
i have no idea as to the yardage yet, but it's probably pretty decent. the yarn ended up being quite consistent, and is easily 20 wpi before blooming, but i doubt it will grow much after it has dried because i plied it so tightly. when i first decided i wanted to be able to spin all different kinds of yarn instead of just novelty/art yarn, i wanted to be able to spin something that should be knit on a size 0 needle. i've finally reached that goal.

Originally uploaded by kittenlogic. here it is again, chillin with its fiber. i dyed this colorway a while back and put it up on etsy, but no one was interested. i guess i'll post it again with the yarn and see if it sells this time. people will probably be alarmed to see me posting things again, since i've been away for so long. i'm really hating this year because i've had to sacrifice so much yarn time. it's something i value so much, and it's like a huge chunk of my life is missing. oh well. patience is a virtue.
on a related note, i got my first formal evaluation back yesterday and it was great. i was so happy. all of this has been worth it, i guess, which is comforting.
