Merci Triscuit

I went for a most glorious run last night. I ran my 10k a few weeks ago but haven't run since because I got a toe infection. It was finally time to get back into it and I want to thank Triscuit for inspiring me to get back to it.

So, I knew the fireworks were going to start at 9:30, so I timed my run so that I'd be at Ontario Place by around then. Just as I turned the bend and some trees got out of the way as I ran along the water closing in on Onatario place, the fireworks began and I continued to run towards them. It was a great backdrop! I've run towards sunsets and sunrises, but never a fireworks display!!! When I got to the actual grounds, I stopped for a break until they ended, then called some friends who thought it was later until I set them straight, and told them it ended. They missed it. Then I ran back home. As I ran up the parking lot to my building, a buddy of mine was just about to leave, having checked to see if I was around. He came up for a Cuba Libre, and we just chatted about stuff.

Feels good to be running again, and this was one of the best runs I could have asked for as I get back to it.

PS - When I passed Sunnyside Pavillion on the way back home, three girls were sitting having a drink, and one girl yelled, "I see you baby" as I approached, and I winked and made a shutter noise with my mouth, and when I passed and left them in the dust, she continued "shakin' that ass! Shakin' that ass..." Her friends laughed when I spanked myself in the ass a few times which was folloeed by catcalls.
