I'm doing my MPH research project on the appropriateness and treatment of urinary tract infections in a long-term acute care facility.
On Monday, I found out I have a UTI.
Today, I met with my collaborators and we talked about putting space for a second antibiotic for treatment in our data collection tool. "What if they treat with one thing, then the culture comes back and they need to make a change?"
I hadn't even left the parking lot yet when I get a phone call: "Hi, this is Carol from Canton Urgent Care..." Oh, you got the culture results back and it's E. coli that's resistant to the drug you gave me? Great.
Dear life,
I see what you did there.
