"I believe it all is coming to an end..."
We're going to the lake house today and won't be back until Saturday, so I doubt I'll be able to post on here at all during that time. Maybe I'll be able to use this time to work on the second draft of "Degeneration" that I'm supposed to have finished in five days. Or maybe I'll get a bit farther in the book I'm reading. Or maybe I'll do absolutely nothing productive at all. We'll see. Actually, I was looking at several different livejournal groups, all of which are writing challenges (30_tears, 30_angsts, 10_gen_fics, etc.), and some of them look interesting. I figure that's what I can start doing at work now: write one of the challenges everyday. Maybe I can start working on some of those stories while I'm away.
We have fires on the west coast, flooding in the mid-west, droughts in the southeast, and hail in the northeast. What wonderful weather we're experiencing this summer.
I'm watching MSNBC right now. They first talked about the pregnant soldier killed in North Carolina, and now they're talking about Amanda Knox, an American in Italy who is accused of murder, and they showed the same picture for the killed soldier and the alleged murderer. I wonder if they'll notice their mistake. They've already moved on to an anti-American Airlines billboard and Bill Clinton's support of Barack Obama, so I doubt it, but I guess they could notice it later.
I suppose I should go get ready to go now. I came down here to watch TV until my mother and Jennifer woke up, but I think they're both awake now.
