"You don't care about us..."
My boss is an idiot. She makes a schedule two weeks in advance and then changes it without telling anyone. I mean, yes, she did take it down for a few days, but I thought that was simply because she didn't like having all that pape out there at once; after all, that was the first time she put two weeks' worth of schedules out there at once. Therefore, I didn't realize that she had changed the schedule, meaning I thought I was working afternoon when I apparently was supposed to be working morning. My dad called me around eleven saying I was supposed to already be there. I got there around noon.
Jennifer still had to work two to close, so I figured I'd just be sitting there for six hours after my shift was done. Fortunately, Keith said I could go work over in their department tonight if I wanted to make some more money since I didn't get to work all of my hours this morning. That was the first time I'd ever worked the food portion for the entire time. It was a lot of fun. Even the parts that weren't exactly fun at least made the time go by really fast. It was great. I looked up at the clock for the first time and saw that four hours had already gone by. Plus, I like Keith so much better than I like Stephanie.
The thing that really sucked about today was that I left my president's cup in the kitchen, and I'm not working tomorrow, meaning that someone's bound to throw it out. Sure, every member of the pool staff knows that it's mine, but they're still likely going to throw it out. I've been using that cup for three weeks because I don't like using styrofoam cups since they can't be recycled. Damn it.
I think I'm going to try to work for the food and beverage staff next summer.
